Rohtang pass as Heaven as nothing can be more beautiful than this pass. Once
you visit the place you will agree with me.
Rohtang pass is
situated at an elevation of 13051ft (approx 4000m) above the sea level in the
Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas and about 50km far from Manali. This pass is
a natural geographical divide between Kullu and Manali. The pass lies on the
watersheds between basins of Chenab river and Beas river. Rohtang pass is the
emerging place of river Beas.
This pass has made
itself to every traveler's bucket list. Though the trek isn’t that hard
according to Himalayas standards, this place is known dangerous for its
unpredictable snowstorms. The pass remains open from May to November and closes
down in winters due to heavy snowfall and snow storms.
This place is also
known as a snow point for tourists as you will people doing skiing, trekking,
ice skating, and other snow-related activities.
There is saying
‘JOURNEY IS MORE BEAUTIFUL THEN THE DESTINATION” or “SAFAR KHOOBSURAT HEI
MANZIL SE BHI”, This trek makes this saying evident. The Journey you will have
to reach Rohtang is scenic beauty worth a million clicks. You will be seeing
frozen waterfalls, Narrow roads, and deep gorges and many thrilling views.
This place deserves a
visit. A cup of tea in one hand and Maggi in another enhances the experience.
