A 15 day Road Trip to Leh-Ladakh

Leh-Ladakh, this place always stays on top in every traveler's bucket list. Leh Ladakh is a high desert place in the laps of Himalayas, situated in Jammu and Kashmir State of India. Leh is at an altitude of about 3500m above sea level.
My Journey started from Delhi and it was a complete 15 days trip on my Royal Enfield.
My Road Trip Schedule:


Day 1:
Journey: Delhi to Nalagarh
Distance: 320km
Time: 9 hours
Via: Karnal, Ambala, Chandigarh, and Pinjore.

Day 2:
Journey: Nalagarh to Manali
Distance: 280km
Time: 8 hours
Via: Bilaspur, Mandi, Kullu.

Day 3:
Journey: Manali to Jispa
Distance: 140km
Time: 7 hours
Via: Rohtang Pass
Specialty: Beautiful Views, Big Mountains, Snow

Day 4:
Journey: Nearby places of Jispa
Distance: 80km
Time: 3 hours
Via: Banks of Bhaga River, Jispa Village
Specialty: Beautiful Views, Cold Weather, Natural Scenery

Day 5:
Journey: Jispa to Leh
Distance: 330km
Time: 13 hours
Via: Baralacha La pass, Pang Valley, Tanglangla Pass, Bhaga River
Specialty: Long deserts View, Beautiful lakes, Photogenic Locations

Spent at Leh, relaxing and enjoying the beauty of Leh
Visited: Shant Stupa, Shankar Monastery, and Nearby Places

Day 7:
Journey: Leh to Pangong Lake to Leh
Distance: 320km
Time: 13 hours
Via: Pangong Lake, Changla Pass
Specialty: Crystal Clear water of Pangong lake, Indo-China Border

Day 8:
Journey: Leh to Valley Nubra
Distance: 120km
Time: 5 hours
Via: Khardung La, Khalser, Deskit
Specialty: Highest Motorable road, High Mountains and Photogenic views

Day 9:
Journey: Nubra Valley to Leh
Distance: 120km
Time: 5 hours
Via: Hunder Village, Deskit Monastery,
Specialty: Sightseeing, Camel Safari

Day 10:
River Rafting, Relaxing at Leh Valley

Journey: Leh to Kargil
Distance: 230km
Time: 7 hours
Via: Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill
Specialty: Magnetic hill – you can turn off your bike here and still be moving upwards at 20kmph

Journey: Kargil to Srinagar
Distance: 210km
Time: 7 hours
Via: Zozila Pass, Drass Valley
Specialty: Cold Weather, Beautiful Mountains, and scenic views

Visited: Nishant Bagh, Shankaracharya Temple, Lal Chowk Market, Dal Lake

Distance: 460kM
Time: 14 hours
Via: Patnitop
Specialty: Hill Station, Natural Sceneries

Journey: Amritsar to Delhi
Distance: 460km
Time: 15 hours
Via: Chandigarh, Ambala
Specialty: Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh

It was an amazing road trip, never ever I had enjoyed this much. Beautiful photogenic views all around, Leh-Ladakh is a must visit all age group.

  3. Backpackers are those types of people who like to visit some places like Leh-Ladakh and Lahaul Spiti which are very special and not ordinary than the other places of different kinds of states. In India there are several people like to participate in backpackers activities where they like to hold some important tools and instruments which will require in time of needs. There are several places in india where most of the people like to visit with their groups. Lahaul Spiti and Leh-Ladakh are the such types of places where people like to visit some backpacks points whrere they like to somke kinds of activites like playing with snow,photography for their great memories of galleries and try to observe something surroundings the places.
